What is an invocation information?

Employers and employees can request wage tax information from the tax office to ensure that they meet their legal wage tax obligations. In such cases, the tax authorities are obliged to provide information. If the employer does not agree with the opinion of the tax office, he/she or the employee can contest the information provided by the tax office in an objection procedure. The information provided by the tax office is limited to wage tax collection procedures and is not binding on the employee's tax office for income tax assessment purposes.
