Why is the benefit recreation allowance spread over several months?

The amounts for the benefit recreation allowance are usually too high to fit into the (still) available monthly budget. Therefore, this benefit is spread over the remaining months of the year. However, you will receive it in one with your next payslip.

Example:

You apply for recreation allowance in March. As you have a partner and a child, you receive the basic amount of 156 €, an additional amount of €104 for your partner and an additional amount of 52 € for your child. That's a total of 312 €. This amount will be spread over your budget over 10 months (from March to December). Each month, 31,20 € will be blocked from the budget for the recreation allowance (312 € / 10 months). You will receive the 312 € from your employer with your next pay slip.

Another example:

If you only activated the vacation allowance in May by entering your vacation period in your :pxtra app, the amount will be divided over the remaining months accordingly (312 € / 8 months), which means that 39 € will be deducted from your budget every month until December.

You can also always use a lower monthly amount from your budget and have the vacation allowance subsidized on a pro rata basis.
