With the Benefit public transport ticket, you can reduce your CO2 emissions and set an example for the environment. Public transport is an excellent alternative to travelling by car, especially in big cities.
You can choose whether you want to use the Deutschland-Ticket, individual tickets or monthly travelcards. The maximum amount to be reimbursed is only limited by your budget or the actual costs incurred.
Of course, you can also have receipts reimbursed on a pro rata basis.
How does it work?
1. if you want to use the benefit, simply click on the module in the app. You will now be shown what you need to consider for the module:
Prerequisite
Here you can submit invoices or tickets for the use of public transport that relate to journeys from your home to your first place of work. The following receipts are accepted:
Local and long-distance transport. A plausibility check must also be carried out. If tickets relate to long-distance transport, you must explain why this option was chosen. Long-distance transport will be accepted if there is no local transport, if it has been temporarily discontinued or if a considerable amount of time is saved by using it.
The following are not accepted:
Aeroplane, taxi, sharing offers etc.
Furthermore, invoices or tickets that are used exclusively for private purposes cannot be uploaded.
By when do the receipts have to be submitted?
In order for your public transport costs to be taken into account, the relevant receipts must be submitted by the 5th of the following month.
Special feature of the Deutschlandticket
Many providers do not currently offer a monthly invoice for the Deutschlandticket, so we would ask you to upload your ticket or contract on a monthly basis until we can display the Deutschlandticket in our app.
2. enter your monthly costs for the public transport ticket.
3. the system now checks how much budget you have available and whether the entire amount of the public transport ticket can be blocked from your budget. If necessary, the app reduces the amount so that it fits into your budget. Of course, you can also reduce the amount that you actually want to block from your budget for this benefit, e.g. to have budget left over for another benefit:
4. once you have entered all the details, you can activate the benefit and confirm your selection in the next step.
This activates the benefit with start in the following month. You can upload your invoice every month from the following month and receive your reimbursement automatically with your payslip.
IMPORTANT: As the receipts can always be submitted by the 5th of the following month, the reimbursement of this benefit will only be made with the payroll in the following month. For example, you upload your telephone bill from May directly in May or by 5 June at the latest. You will be reimbursed with your payroll in June.
The submitted receipts will be checked by us. The following things are relevant for a positive check:
1. your name must be visible on the invoice
2. the validity date of the ticket must be noted
3. the costs are listed on the receipt
You will only be reimbursed via payroll if you submit receipts and we have approved them.
If we have to reject a receipt, we will contact you directly via the chat in the app and explain why we were unable to approve the receipt so that you have the opportunity to resubmit it. For this reason, we also recommend submitting the voucher promptly and not waiting until the last possible day to submit it.
In addition to the chat message in the app, you will also receive an email to your login email address with a note that there is a message in the app.
