How do I activate Single Sign-On (SSO) with :pxtra?

With the new SSO feature, you and your employees can log in to :pxtra conveniently and securely via Google or Microsoft - without the need for a separate password.

 

📁Prerequisites for using

The following conditions must be met before you can activate SSO in the platform:

  • Your organization uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • All employee email addresses are correctly stored in the :pxtra master data.
  • The employees' SSO address must match the address in :pxtra.

 

🔐 Where do I activate SSO?

Depending on whether you want to activate login for employees or management, there are two paths:

 

For employees (app login)

  1. Navigate in the platform to the section Company > Security > App login
  2. Click on Activate next to Activate single sign-on (SSO) for employees
  3. Confirm the requirements in the notification window

For management (platform login)

  1. Navigate to Company > Security > Platform Login
  2. Activate the SSO login for the management team by clicking on Activate next to Activate Single Sign-On (SSO)

Note: Login with e-mail & password can only be deactivated if SSO is already active.

 

🌐 How does the login for users work?

Users will see the following new options in the app and platform:

  • Continue with Google
  • Continue with Microsoft

Login is only possible if the email address of the account matches the address in the master data and the company's settings allow login via SSO.

 

🚨 Important notes

  • If SSO is active, 2FA is automatically deactivated.
  • The setting can be changed at any time.
  • Employees will be informed of any changes by email.
  • Login via password remains active until you deactivate it manually (after successful SSO activation).

🎮 Settings in the app

Employees can also log in to the app via Google or Microsoft. Prerequisite: The organization has activated SSO for app login.
