Employers can pay you as an employee so-called "travel expenses" for your daily commute to work based on the number of kilometres you travel.
It doesn't matter whether you travel to work by car, bike or on foot.
For every kilometre travelled from your home to your place of work, you will receive a subsidy of EUR 0.38 from your employer.
How does it work?
As an employee, you can easily receive mileage allowance with :pxtra!
When you activate the benefit in the app for the first time, simply enter the distance (in km) from your home to your daily workplace. This is the one-way journey to work, not the outward and return journey. Please note that only full kilometers are taken into account and that partial kilometers are rounded down.
You will also be asked for the number of working days per week in the office. The working days per week refer to the days on which you are regularly in the office according to the contractual agreement.
After that you can sit back and relax, the mileage allowance and the costs to be reimbursed are calculated automatically by our system.
Of course, as with all our benefits, you have the option of reducing the amount that is blocked from your budget each month. For example, because you need more remaining budget for another benefit.
If you do not have your entire costs for the mileage allowance reimbursed, you can enter the remaining costs in your tax return.
The reimbursement of monthly travel expenses will be made automatically together with your wage or salary payment.
What effect does the change in my way to work have on the mileage allowance?
The mileage allowance is calculated based on your commute to work.
If the distance from your home to your first place of work changes, you are obliged to report these changes to your company. So that we can also adjust the data for payment of the mileage allowance, please contact our support team by email at support@pxtra.de
