What is the benefit meal subsidy?
No more paying for your daily lunch out of your own pocket - sounds almost too good to be true?
To save you the cost of several hundred euros per month, there is the benefit meal subsidy.
You can have your employer subsidize your daily company lunches with a maximum of €7.50 for up to 15 days a month.
The number of receipts that can be submitted per month depends on the number of working days per week:
5 working days/week = 15 receipts (max. €115.05 per month)
4 working days/week = 12 receipts (max. €92.04 per month)
3 working days/week = 9 receipts (max. €69.03 per month)
2 working days/week = 6 receipts (max. €46.02 per month)
1 working day/week = 3 receipts (max. €23.01 per month)
Sounds like a great deal, doesn't it?
And this is how it works:
As soon as the meal subsidy has been approved in your :pxtra app, you can scan your receipts via the app with just one click and then upload them so that we can check and approve them.
What do I need to bear in mind when applying for the meal allowance?
- You can only have food reimbursed. It is therefore not possible to claim deposits, delivery costs or shopping bags, for example.
- Drinks can only be reimbursed in combination with a meal or food, a drink alone does not constitute a meal.
- You cannot claim alcohol or tobacco products.
- Alcohol and tobacco products may appear on the receipt, but may not be deducted. Therefore, mark the items to be deducted on your receipt.
- Food purchases for stock are not permitted, so you can only claim reimbursement for amounts of food that can be consumed immediately.
More information about what is possible with the meal allowance, can be found here.
Reimbursement of costs
The costs will be reimbursed automatically together with your wage or salary payment in the month following submission. This means that if you submit receipts in February, you will receive the reimbursement with your salary in March.
